Little Explorers

A program for 2-year olds

Our Little Explorers program, located at 107 Circular St., is a warm, loving environment that gives students their first introduction to school routines, peer socialization, and being away from home. It is a play-based curriculum that includes circle time, story time, music and movement, free play, teacher-led art activities, and outdoor play. Children are given an introduction to concepts such as letters, counting, shapes, colors, and patterning.

 

Our Little Explorers take two parent-chaperoned field trips each year and also have in-class yoga instruction.

  • Classes meet two mornings per week (Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs) from 9:30 – 11:30 AM.

  • Eligible children must be two years old on or before September 1.

  • The maximum number of children in each class is 10 with one teacher and two assistants.

Voyagers

A program for 3-year olds

Our Voyagers program, located at 115 Regent St., begins to introduce students to pre-Kindergarten skills within the framework of a fun, theme-based program. Each class follows a daily schedule incorporating science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) and includes free play, circle time, calendar activities, music and movement, learning centers, story time, and outdoor play. In addition, children work on name recognition and writing, fine and gross motor skills, and pre-math skills throughout their day.

Our three-year olds take many field trips each year, which may include Riverview Apple Orchard, World Awareness Museum, and other theme-related trips. Children also participate in monthly music and movement classes.

 

  • The Voyagers program meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays, either in the morning (9:00 AM–11:45 AM), or in the afternoon (12:45– 3:30 PM).

  • The afternoon class includes a weekly French lesson. 

  • Eligible children must turn three years old on or before December 1 of the school year.

  • The maximum number of children in each class is 20 with one teacher and two assistants.

Discoverers & Beyond Beagle

A program for 4-year olds

Our Discoverers & Beyond Beagle programs, located at 115 Regent St., build on our three-year old curriculum, expanding ideas and concepts, encouraging more independence, and giving students the tools for success in Kindergarten.  Each class follows a daily schedule, incorporating science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) and includes free play, circle time, calendar activities, music and movement, learning centers, story time, and outdoor play.

In addition, the Beyond Beagle program is part of our afternoon enrichment classes and includes a weekly French lesson.

Our four-year olds take several field trips each year, which may include Proctors Theater, Riverview Orchard, and MiSci. Children also participate in monthly movement classes by Lili Loveday.

  • Classes meet on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, either in the morning (Discoverers: 9:00 AM – 11:45 AM), or in the afternoon (Beyond Beagle: 12:45 – 3:30 PM).

  • Eligible children must turn four-years old on or before December 1 of the school year.

  • The maximum number of children in each class is 20 with one teacher and two assistants.
