NEW THIS YEAR AT THE BEAGLE SCHOOL
This year is particularly exciting, as we are thrilled to announce the addition of three new members to our teaching staff. Our 2-day AM class will be taught by Anastasia Sperry. Anastasia holds a degree in elementary education, has nine years of teaching experience, and is a parent to three Beagle School children.
Assisting Anastasia will be Jennifer Wilcox and JoAnn Sterner. Jennifer has credits toward her Master's degree in early childhood education, has 10 years of experience in teaching, and is the mother of a Beagle child. JoAnn has been a full-time mom for the past 9 years and an active PTA fund-raising volunteer and class parent in her children's elementary school.
Our three new teachers join a highly experienced and dedicated staff, consisting of our director and 3-day AM teacher Carolyn Hoffman, PM teacher and 3-day AM assistant Roberta Szemela, 3-day AM assistant Charlene Gilbert, PM assistant Lee Crawford, toddler teacher Anna Querrard and toddler assistant Carol Gilbert.
We are sure that your children will experience an enriching year full of creativity and exploration with this wonderful team.

The children's natural curiosity helps us to develop a theme approach to learning where they are given opportunities for creative play, stories and poems, field trips, art projects and time outdoors. Our pre-reading and math activities are open-ended so each child can achieve success according to her or his abilities. The daily schedule is flexible to accommodate the needs and interests of the children.
Our student ratio is 7-1. Morning classes meet from 9:00 a.m. to noon, and the afternoon classes meet from 12:40 - 3:40 p.m. Children who are 3 years old on or before December 1 are eligible for our Tuesday/Thursday classes. School closings, delays, and early dismissal in the event of inclement weather or other emergencies will be announced on WRGB Channel 6, WTEN Channel 10, WNYT Channel 13, and WQAR 101.3 FM radio station.
Whenever the Saratoga Springs School District is closed, The Beagle School will be closed.

The Circular St. Program is closed for either 1 or 2 hour delay.
If we have class in the morning, but we cancel the afternoon class because of weather or power outage, we will make the decision by 11:30 AM and will make every effort to let you know.
No refunds or make up days will be made if The Beagle School is closed due to inclement weather or power outages.
Dressing for Outdoor Play
Please remember that the children go outside everyday to play in the yard. Everyone must have snow pants, boots, coat, hat, and mittens. Please don’t forget to put names on their items. many of them look exactly the same. Outdoor play is part of The Beagle School program.
If you child cannot go outside, then he / she should stay home that day. Of course the temperature, wind chill, and precipitation is taken into consideration each day.
